Nicky is a former MP, Cabinet Minister and now a member of the House of Lords. She served as Secretary of State for Education, Minister for Women and Equalities, and later Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport.

Sir Nick Harvey

Nick is the former Liberal Democrat Chief Executive, served five terms as MP and was a Defence Minister in the 2010 coalition government.

Stefan Cross KC

Stefan is recognised as one of the UK's leading employment lawyers and sometime employment tribunal judge.

Mark Stephens CBE

Mark is an English solicitor specialising in media law, intellectual property, freedom of speech and human rights.

Democratys is a charitable incorporated organisation registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales and is overseen by four eminent British public figures. These are; Baroness Nicola Morgan, former MP and Cabinet Minister, including Secretary of State for Education, now a member of the House of Lords; Sir Nick Harvey, a former LibDem MP and defence minister in the 2010-2015 Coalition government; Mark Stephens CBE, a prominent and reformist civil lawyer specialising in libel cases; and Stefan Cross KC, a leading employment lawyer and sometime employment tribunal judge. The objective is for Democratys to be funded by a group of donors who share our aims to promote good citizenship and civic responsibility on a strictly non-partisan political basis.

Democratys is governed by its Board of Trustees who set the strategy for the organisation and are accountable for its compliance and oversight.
